There are so many lovely stories for children to enjoy at Easter time and those of you who have purchased one of my Easter bundles will be enjoying some of the best picture books I’m come across. Hooray for Hoppy by Tim Hopgood has been a favourite story of ours for many years. My little dude was given it as a gift when he was almost two and it became an instant favourite! It’s a lovely story about springtime and the senses, which encourages children to be mindful and use their senses to engage with the natural world around them. For those of you who haven’t come across the story, Hoppy the rabbit wakes up after hiding away throughout winter. It’s the first day of spring and the story follows him as he discovers a world full of wonderful things! But after he’s sniffed the fresh air, listened to the singing birds and tasted the fresh green grass, he starts to feel a little lonely. So he finds a way to wake up his friends so they can enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of spring all together.
